Starting with precision fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) molding, NFG laid the foundation for domestic safety engineering, aiming to reduce dependence on imported headgear.
Expanding its manufacturing infrastructure, NFG pioneered high-density engineering ABS civil helmets and IS:2925 industrial hard hats. The facility introduced automated hydraulic molding presses and impact testing drop towers, becoming one of India's earliest BIS IS:4151 certified safety helmet manufacturers.
Recognizing the growing challenge of crowd management faced by state police forces, NFG transitioned into tactical defense manufacturing. The company launched its first anti-riot helmet line featuring high-impact polycarbonate visors and inner EPS cushion liners designed to protect officers against stone pelting and blunt force trauma.
A defining turning point in NFG's history: achieving strict compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) specifications. Every anti-riot helmet, shield, and lathi was re-engineered with virgin PC material matrices, undergoing rigorous NABL laboratory testing for fire retardancy, ballistics, and shock attenuation.
By 2012, NFG became the primary armor supplier for major law enforcement agencies including Delhi Police, Assam Police, UP Police, Bihar Police, and Maharashtra Police. Over 2 million helmets and riot suites were delivered to active frontline battalions.
